Cash Prize Gifts Presented to Winners of the “Imagine the Future” Essay and Spelling Bee Competition.
As part of its unwavering commitment to educational empowerment, the Excellent Assembly partnered with NYSC Corp Members serving in Ede South Local Government to support the Student of the Year Scholarship Award Program, held from July 24th to 26th, 2025.Themed “Imagine the Future”, the three-day academic event brought together senior secondary school students from across Ede South for a series of intellectually stimulating activities, including an Essay Writing Competition and Spelling Bee Contest.
The program, organized by Corp Members in collaboration with local secondary schools, aimed to promote literacy, inspire critical thinking, and reward academic excellence among young students.
The Excellent Assembly, renowned for its humanitarian initiatives across Osun State, presented cash prizes to the winners of the competition.
The Assembly was ably represented by its Deputy Mayor, Engr. Adeleke Kehinde, and former Voice, Engr. Bolaji Okunade, both of whom commended the efforts of the Corp Members and the impressive performance of the participating students.Speaking at the award ceremony, the Excellent Assembly extended heartfelt appreciation to the organizing team led by Corper Ode Confidence, highlighting their exemplary initiative and community spirit.
The Assembly also reiterated its continued support for educational and youth development programs, noting that initiatives like this are vital to nurturing future leaders and change-makers.“We believe in the power of education to transform lives,” Engr.
